Purpose

Ennios Pasta House Inc is committed to meeting its obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and providing a barrier-free environment for all individuals, including customers, employees, job applicants, suppliers, and visitors. This policy outlines our commitment to accessibility in accordance with the Customer Service Standard and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR).

Statement of Commitment

Ennios Pasta House Inc is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their independence and dignity. We believe in integration and equal opportunity and are dedicated to meeting the accessibility needs of persons with disabilities in a timely manner.

Customer Service Standard

3.1 Assistive Devices
We will ensure that our staff are trained and familiar with assistive devices used by individuals with disabilities while accessing our goods and services.

3.2 Communication
We will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take their needs into account. Alternate formats will be made available upon request.

3.3 Service Animals
Service animals are permitted in all areas of our premises open to the public. If service animals are prohibited by law, we will provide alternative accommodations.

3.4 Support Persons
Persons with disabilities are permitted to be accompanied by a support person on our premises. If a fee is required for an event or service, we will provide notice in advance.

3.5 Temporary Disruptions
In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities used by people with disabilities, Ennios Pasta House Inc will provide notice including:

  • Reason for the disruption
  • Expected duration
  • Description of alternative facilities or services

Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR)

4.1 Training
Ennios Pasta House Inc will provide AODA-mandated training to all employees, volunteers, contractors, and anyone else who interacts with the public on our behalf.

Training covers:

  • Human Rights Code as it relates to disabilities
  • Customer service accessibility
  • Workplace accessibility requirements
  • Training will be provided during onboarding and refreshed as policies change.

4.2 Recruitment, Assessment, and Selection
We will notify job applicants that accommodations are available upon request during all steps of recruitment.

We will consult with applicants to provide suitable accommodations that consider their accessibility needs.

4.3 Accessible Workplace Information
Upon request, we will provide employees with accessible formats and communication supports for:

  • Job information
  • Workplace emergency procedures
  • Performance management
  • Career development

4.4 Return-to-Work Process
We maintain a documented return-to-work process for employees who are absent due to disability and require accommodation.

4.5 Design of Public Spaces
When building new or redeveloped public spaces, we will meet the AODA’s design requirements for:

  • Accessible parking
  • Ramps and walkways
  • Waiting areas
  • Entrances and service counters
